Modified Silane StrSealant

MS Sealant (Modified Silane Polyether Sealant)
MS Sealant (Modified Silane Polyether Sealant) is a high-performance sealant that combines the advantages of polyurethane and silicone sealants, offering excellent weather resistance and application properties
I. Properties of MS Sealant
Environmentally Friendly & Non-Toxic: Solvent-free and isocyanate-free, with low VOC emissions, complying with environmental standards
Excellent Weather Resistance: Resistant to UV rays, high and low temperatures (-40°C to 100℃), does not yellow or crack during long-term outdoor use
Versatile Adhesion: Bonds well to various substrates including concrete, metal, glass, and plastics
Durable Elasticity: Maintains high elasticity after curing, accommodating the thermal expansion and contraction of substrates
Paintability: The surface can be painted, a characteristic not typically found in standard silicone sealants
Non-Corrosive: Does not corrode metal or concrete substrates
II. Main Applications of MS Sealant
Construction Field: Sealing curtain wall joints, door/window installation, concrete joint treatment, roof waterproofing, etc
Industrial Manufacturing: Seam sealing and bonding in automobiles, ships, and containers
Decoration & Finishing: Bonding and sealing interior/exterior decorative materials, such as stone and aluminum panels
Municipal Engineering: Expansion joint treatment in concrete structures like bridges and tunnels
Home Repair & Renovation: Waterproof sealing in damp environments like bathrooms and kitchens
III. Curing Time of MS Sealant
MS sealant cures by reacting with moisture in the air. Under standard conditions (temperature 23±2°C, relative humidity 50±5%):
Surface Dry Time: Approximately 30-60 minutes (forms a skin)
Initial Cure: Reaches about 70% strength within 24 hours
Full Cure: Typically requires around 7 days to achieve final properties
Curing speed is significantly affected by ambient temperature and humidity:
High temperature and high humidity can accelerate curing
Low temperature and low humidity will slow down curing
Thicker application layers require longer full cure times
IV. Usage Precautions
Pre-Application Preparation:
Ensure the application surface is clean, dry, and free of oil, grease, and loose particles
A primer is recommended for porous substrates
Recommended application temperature is between 5°C and 40°C
Application Guidelines:
Cut the nozzle to an appropriate size to ensure the bead meets design requirements
Use proper application technique to ensure full contact between the sealant and the substrate
Control joint depth; use backer rod if necessary
Tooling must be completed before surface skin forms
Safety Measures:
Avoid direct skin contact; wearing protective gloves is recommended
If skin contact occurs, wash immediately with soap and water
Maintain good ventilation in the work area
Store out of reach of children
Storage Requirements:
Store unopened products in a cool, dry place
Recommended storage temperature is between 5°C and 30°C
Use opened cartridges promptly or seal them with a specialized cap
